{Wanderings} & a Winner

I'm flippin' cold. I'm sitting in my bed right now with a fleece blanket AND a quilt cozied up around me. And it's all because I'm awesome and trying to put off turning on that beloved heater. And because I live in the Northwest and it's November. :(

But I know y'all are feeling it too. The happy days of spring are running away from us, and we're just waiting for it to snow so that we will at least be able to make snow angels.

Let's divert our attention from the freezing weather and move on to weddings, since weddings are always pretty! :)

First, a winner for our giveaway with Casala Studio!

Halsey with comment #14! Email me at lindsie@wed4lessnw.com to claim your prize!

I'm super excited, especially since Halsey and I were just having a conversation earlier this week about how she's had a bumpy week with wedding planning. So hopefully this will make her day. :)

Who's up for wanderings? ME!

DIY Projects

I'm pretty much digging this super-funky multi-colored petticoat DIY on Rock n Roll Bride this week. How sweet would this be under your dress?

And for those of you who love the look of chalk boards but hate the feeling on your fingers when you write with chalk, here's a lovely DIY on Ruffled for a faux chalk board sign.

These DIY shoe clips on Green Wedding Shoes are the perfect way to take a simple (and budget-friendly) pair of shoes and make them incredible.

Real Weddings & Engagements

Think you can't do a budget wedding for under $5K? Wrong. This couple, featured on Green Wedding Shoes, did it for $2K in AUSTRALIA!!!

And here's a $10K budget couple who had a lovely indie wedding in Colorado, featured on La Belle Bride.

Just so I can get my yellow wedding inspiration in for the week, and because this couple created tons of cool DIYs, here's my idea of a perfect DIY wedding from Style Me Pretty.

Spokane Bride Blog featured the cutest downtown Spokane engagement shoot, and I happen to LOVE downtown Spokane. I had to point you to it. :)

Inspiration

Not sure if you all noticed, but I kind of skipped over Halloween. It wasn't just on the blog, either. My Halloween was spent trying to decide which classes to take next semester. Kid you not. But, to be fair, I point you to this ode to Halloween shoot on Spokane Bride Blog. (It was styled by Misty from Cameo Events, quite possibly my favorite wedding planner/coordinator ever, and a Wed4Less preferred vendor.)

Here's an extremely lovely shoot (with lots of YELLOW) done from start to finish for under £250, posted on Rock n Roll Bride.

Hi, I'm Lindsie, and I'm a yellow addict (if you hadn't noticed). To understand my addiction, I invite you to meander over to Oh Lovely Day, where they have the most gosh-darned gorgeous yellow inspiration shoot.

For all you Oregon ladies, this Oregon country shoot from Style Me Pretty is perfect. So many pretty colors!

One more wandering: You should all check out this photographer's post about materialism & weddings, entitled The Mason Jar Manifesto. I'm going to talk more about it on Tuesday.

  1. Yay! Thank you, Lindsie! I'm so excited!!!

And yes- I'm freezing my butt off here in St Helens! My thermometer says 48 degrees, but I think that even our electronic devices are being optimistic these days.....

  2. Haha. So true. It's very very cold, though.
