I'm flippin' cold. I'm sitting in my bed right now with a fleece blanket AND a quilt cozied up around me. And it's all because I'm awesome and trying to put off turning on that beloved heater. And because I live in the Northwest and it's November. :(

But I know y'all are feeling it too. The happy days of spring are running away from us, and we're just waiting for it to snow so that we will at least be able to make snow angels.

Let's divert our attention from the freezing weather and move on to weddings, since weddings are always pretty! :)

♥ These DIY shoe clips on Green Wedding Shoes are the perfect way to take a simple (and budget-friendly) pair of shoes and make them incredible.

♥ Think you can't do a budget wedding for under $5K? Wrong. This couple, featured on Green Wedding Shoes, did it for $2K in AUSTRALIA!!!

♥ And here's a $10K budget couple who had a lovely indie wedding in Colorado, featured on La Belle Bride.

♥ Just so I can get my yellow wedding inspiration in for the week, and because this couple created tons of cool DIYs, here's my idea of a perfect DIY wedding from Style Me Pretty.

♥ If you love the look of macarons as much as I do, you'll love this DIY from Wedding Chicks. I'm sorry to say that I'm not too fond of the taste of these little beauties, but you can be sure that my wedding will feature a few for looks sake. :)

♥ I found a couple really fun semi-DIY printables this week. The first is a collection of some darling Halloween-inspired printables (but many could work for weddings) from The Sweetest Occasion. The second an elegant favor tag printable from Polka Dot Made.

♥ Are you as afraid of flowers as I am? If so, check out this DIY corsage and boutonniere tutorial on Budget-Savvy Bride.

♥ Ruffled featured a really fun polka-dot envelope DIY and an equally adorable streamer cake topper DIY this week.

♥ If you're looking for a semi-unique fall-inspired table runner, check out this autumn leaves runner by The Sweetest Occasion.

Real Weddings

♥ This backyard wedding on Style Me Pretty makes my heart leap. It's beautiful, and the bride shared lots of great advice, including tips on looking for budget-friendly wedding services.

♥ Here's a thrifty and handmade Washington wedding with pretty much the sweetest details, posted on Green Wedding Shoes.

♥ And here's a bride who made her own wedding dress to save lots of money. This wedding, on One Lovely Day, also includes glass bottle centerpieces, tissue paper garlands, and some cute little cakes. Need I say more?

♥ This British wedding as seen on Ruffled was inspired by "the look of a lot of the casual, backyard style American weddings." Love it.

♥ My favorite is seeing weddings on other sites that explicitly state what the budget was. This $10K Rocky Mountain wedding from Sparkle and Hay did that, and also dazzled me with rustic-chic and DIY details.

Inspiration

♥ I'm in love with '60s-inspired stuff, and am therefore totally head-over-heels for this Mad Men inspiration shoot on Ruffled Blog. Yes. Madmen. You want more.

♥ Postcards and Pretties posted some really lovely inspiration for the short-haired bride this week, and, I gotta say, it made me want to chop off all of my hair. Check it out and tell me what you think. I'm seriously considering it.

♥ This DIY autumn centerpiece from Spokane Bride Blog is pretty much my favorite read of the week. I swear, Dana (the blogger behind SBB) makes me feel better about florals every time she posts about them. (Confession: Florals make me afraid.)

♥ And when I thought it couldn't get any better, Spokane Bride Blog also published this beautiful backdrop DIY.

♥ Or how about this pretty autumn tissue flower centerpiece from The Sweetest Occasion?

Real Weddings

♥ I love those super unique weddings where the couples' styles really come through. This DIY-heavy wedding, featured on Love and Lavender this week, is one of those. Beautiful.


♥ I'm not usually a fan of ballroom weddings, just because they can get really cliche really quickly. This ballroom wedding featured on 100 Layer Cake, though, is perfect.


♥ This wedding on Sparkle and Hay took place in small town Starbuck, Wash.! So fun, right? And the couple had a lot of sweet details to match their country theme.


♥ And this $5000 farm wedding is so sweet, it might just be unbelievable! It's always amazing to see what people can do with just a little money. This couple had a lot of graphic and modern details that I love.

♥ How about a DIY Oregon wedding, also featured on Ruffled? It's filled with lots of woodsy goodness and really pretty bridesmaid dresses.

♥ One of our preferred vendors, Haute Pink Photography, shot this beautiful Spokane wedding featured this week on Apple Brides.

♥ This couple spent around $7000 for a wedding with 160 guests. I think that's awesome. (And it renews my faith in my ability to create my wedding for around 150 for $6500. Thank God.)

{Moving Party} Top July, Aug. & Sept. Posts

This is a momentous occasion. Today marks the LAST DAY that I will be posting content on this site.

There will be one more post tomorrow announcing our new URL. (I’m putting a few finishing touches on the site before I have y’all flock over there. I might end up announcing it tonight, though!)

But today, we’re going to take a last look at my top five favorite posts from July, August and September.

ONE – Christy and Mark’s Oregon beach wedding – The simple details and the love between family and friends that is evident in these photos is what makes this wedding, photographed by Kailee Willard Photography. I’m still amazed at how subtle and yet elegant this event was.

TWO - $550 NW Bridal: whimsical vintage – I’m a sucker for wispy, poofy and tulle things. This look combines all of that and more. AND it’s affordable. Can’t beat that.

THREE – Wedding bands on a budget – I really hate how wedding bands are one of the first things couples often cut from their wedding budgets. They can be so affordable! Check out this post for some great ideas on where to look for bands that will only cost you a bit of pocket change (think around $20-$30!).

FOUR – My wedding: Defining a mantra - I still think that defining a wedding mantra is so important. It keeps you from getting side-tracked and confused by all of the crazy wedding industry prettiness. In other words, it keeps you grounded.

FIVE – Ngan & Eric’s blissful DIY wedding – This wedding was clearly a labor of love. From the DIY origami to the DIY bridal bouquet, this wedding is the definition of a budget-friendly feat.

{Moving Party} Top June Posts

Oh. My. Goodness. I can hardly hold myself together. I’ve been finalizing some stuff with the super cool sponsors we’re going to have on the new Wed4Less, working with the amazing giveaways that we’re going to have, and LOVING every minute of it.

One negative thing to note, though: It’s getting cold. I wish it was still Spring. And today’s post just makes that yearning worse, because today we have June’s top posts!

ONE – Vintage Bed & Breakfast Inspiration Shoot - This shoot, by Jamie Delaine Photography, might just be my favorite shoot ever. Maybe even my favorite post ever. I’m completely enamored by the colors. I’m enamored by the $30 dress and how amazing it looks. I’m enamored by the adorable accessories! (And it doesn’t hurt that this dress looks like a vintage version of my dress.) :)

TWO – Color inspiration: sea foam and blush – This is still one of my favorite color combos. It just reminds me of femininity, spring and vintage, which we all know are things I can’t ever get enough of.

THREE – DIY Bridal headband – This was a really fun and easy project, and another of those that can be used for everyday or for your wedding. (I wear mine all the time. I love the hand-crafted anthropologie look.)

FOUR - Rustic gifts & accessories from Made of Paper and Things, an etsy shop – Aren’t these headband gorgeous? I think so too. My favorite Made of Paper and Things product, though, might be their rosette bag (which, by my luck, is no longer available; sad face). Their jewelry is still readily available, though!

FIVE - Sweet spring inspiration shoot – Perhaps most fitting for June and spring was this lovely shoot, by Michelle Masser Photography. The muted and feminine tones, the lovely florals, the amazing props, all of it came together to create pure gorgeousness. Also, this shoot inspired a short series called DIY or Buy, in which we showed you how to DIY and where to buy things in this shoot. Fun, right?

Gear yourself up. Tomorrow’s post, encompassing July, August and September (we’ll probably have a top ten), will be our last post on this site. We’ll announce our amazing new URL Saturday!

ONE – GQ Wedding: Our take on manly [budget] fashion – This post has all the goods you need to have your men dressed up in style, and without spending a fortune. I especially love the above look—a white suit with a powder blue shirt. Classic!

TWO – Bellingham wedding by Jen Martin Studios – This wedding is so fun! From the bright blue shoes for her to the lime green socks for him, from the shots on the motorcycle to the shots in a retro coffee shop, I just can’t get enough!

THREE – Cowboy Engagement Shoot by 2Twelve Design & Photo – This shoot definitely shows off this couple’s personalities and the immense love they share. I love their hats, their jeans, the wheat background. Oh, goodness.

FOUR – Irresistible jewelry from Distinctly Ivy, an etsy shop – I absolutely adore Distinctly Ivy’s shop. I bought a lovely necklace from there a while back, and my experience was fabulous. It’s all well-made, quality jewelry at great prices.

ONE – Real Wedding: Vintage Chic by Shyble Photography, Boise – This wedding is one of my all-time favorites. I love the unique style of photography that Shyble has. Yummm.

TWO – DIY Paper Flower, take 2 (and 3) – My second try at paper flowers, these two tutorials are awesome! I still make these all the time. So fun.

THREE – My Wedding Wednesday: Engagement Shoot #2 – I’m still in love with my engagement photos from Erika Ellis Photography. I feel like she really captured the essence of our relationship.

FOUR – Vendor Tuesday: Wild Poppy Etsy Shop – Oh my goodness. Who can resist these silk beauties? Surely not I. That’s not to mention the other pretty things in the Wild Poppy Shop, like earrings.

FIVE – Kim Hatchie Designs, hand-made beauty – One of my favorite pieces of jewelry is a bracelet from Kim Hatchie Designs. I get complimented on it all the time. Her designs are so intricate and lovely. Getting together with Kim was also a delight!
