{Advice} It's not in the details

I, a self-proclaimed wedding blogger who is addicted to yellow and generally pretty things, am here to tell you that the proverbial "it" is not in the details.

Your wedding success is not in the details.

Your marital success is not in the details.

Your wedding will not be a dud if you don't get the chair sashes tied just right, or if your flowers are not the perfect color, or if you run out of punch to serve guests.

Weddings and marriages are about love and commitment, and about celebrating that love and commitment.

I shared a link in the wanderings last weekend to a post a photographer had done about this subject. This post has been circulating the wedding world, and I felt it really important to comment. I also think it's really important to relish in this idea.

The details are gorgeous, but it's about the love story.

To this end, I want to start sharing more than just weddings and engagements on Wed4Less. I want to start sharing love stories. So, send a picture of you and your fiance(e) and share your love story. I'll post it here. And we'll all celebrate the love.

I'll post my love story later today, just to give us a start.
