{Real Engagement} Celebrating in San Francisco

When Lacey of LaDuke Photography told me about this shoot, I just knew I had to have it. This couple is currently living in the San Francisco area, but is having their wedding in CDA. How perfect is that?

This couple lucked out majorly for their engagement session. They told Lacey that they weren't sure that they were going to be able to do an engagement session since they are in SF. Luck had it that Lacey was planning a trip to that area. Beautiful!

I love the details in this shoot: the bridge, the bright sky, the architecture.

{Real Engagement} Rainy days in Idaho

The coolest engagement photos are the ones that not only show the couple (of utmost importance), but also show the environment in which the couple lives.

I love engagement shoots that show off the rains of northwest falls and springs, the snowfalls of our beloved winters, and the sunshine of late springs and summers.

So you have to imagine that I loved this shoot from the moment I saw it. This was firstly because of the way photographer Kerry from Joie du Jour Photography captured the sweet happiness of the couple (and their dog!).

But it was also because of the way one can smell the rain and feel the beating sunshine by looking at these photos.

So utterly northwest, yes?
