{Real Wedding} $10K Issaquah Wedding by Courtney Bowlden Photography

We're featuring the work of Courtney Bowlden again today. It's because she takes lovely photos. It's because she seems to cater to the budget couple. So be excited, I say.

Another reason to be excited: We're trying a new real wedding format that I think will work a lot better with our new (ish) website. We've added some awesome new details: from the bride quotes, splurges vs. saves, vendors and DIYs!

This couple did tons of DIY projects, including table centerpieces, cupcake in a jar favors, poms (my favorite!) for aisle and reception decor, the bridesmaids' belts and bunting! How fun!

♥ {Splurges} attire (paid for wedding party attire) | food

From the bride:

We wanted our guests to be happy and stuffed with food. For that reason, we offered a selection of options for the guests to munch on throughout our event, including the main course (bbq ribs, pulled pork, smoke salmon, etc), a sweets table with a plethora of candy and cookies, beer and wine, root beer floats, a four tiered two flavored wedding cake, and ice cream.

From the bride:

We got geeky with our save the dates, but they didn’t cost us a dime. I created a digital save the date, which drove people to our wedding website via email, mobile, and social media.

From the bride:

We had the best wedding party, who was all hands on deck. Our girls and guys were actually the ones that cracked the whip on me and Chantha. I guess you could say that we were pretty easy- going bride and groom, but it’s also true that things needed to get done. We’re fortunate to have such a great wedding party. The least we could do was rent and/or purchase their wedding attire, and before the rehearsal, took everybody out for a “thanks for managing us” all-you-can-eat Ivar’s brunch.
